Ruth Genevieve Martin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ruth Genevieve Martin, 92, of Ashland, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 28, 2021. She was born February 26, 1928 in Huntington, WV the daughter of the late Charles Delmas and Edith Marie Stephenson Weethee. She was a former fountain employee, at G.C. Murphy and the delicatessen at Brackman’s Chevron, service station. She was a member of the City Hill Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Millard T. “Charlie” Martin; two brothers, John Weethee and Charles Weethee; and one sister, Dorothy Whetherholt. Survivors include two sons, Timothy Martin and his wife, Lucy Kay and Mark Martin both of Lexington, KY; three sisters, Edith Blanton of Texas, Pauline Newell of Florida and Joyce Hern Newell of Florida; three brothers, James Weethee, William Weethee and Roy Weethee all of Ohio; three grandchildren, April Dawn Biddles, Chloe Martin and Olivia Martin; two great grandchildren, Ayla Biddles and Ariel Biddles. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Miller Funeral Home by Pastor Greg Mattney officiating. Burial will follow at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
