Garry Jarvis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Garry Jarvis, 75, of Rush, Kentucky, passed away at King’s Daughters Medical Center on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022, following a long illness. Garry was retired from Kentucky Electric Steel as a crane operator with 30 years of service. He was a proud member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Ashland, Kentucky. Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Odist and Pauline Burke Jarvis; his twin brother, Larry Jarvis, and brothers James O. Jarvis, Warren Jarvis, Oliver Ray Jarvis, Owen Jarvis; one sister, Bonnie Shirlene Stewart; nephews Tommy Stewart, Darrell Stewart, John Rakes, Chris Jarvis; and a niece, Brenda Kay Hall. He is survived by a brother, David S. and Judy Jarvis, of Ashland, Kentucky; one sister, Judy A. Rakes of Rush, Kentucky; and a special friend who helped care for him, Billy Jarvis of Grayson, Kentucky; and a host of family, friends, nieces, and nephews who will mourn his passing. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 7th, at Miller Funeral Home with funeral services at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Ross Cemetery in Rush, Kentucky. Pall Bearers will be Billy Jarvis, Larry Joe Rakes, James Michael Rakes, Caleb Martin, Ronnie Stewart, and Roger Wells.
