David Paul Back

September 5, 1945 - March 31, 2022

David Paul Back, 75, of Ashland, Kentucky passed away suddenly of a brief illness early Thursday morning March 31, 2022 in Kings Daughters Medical Center. David was born September 5, 1946 in Trenton, Michigan to the late Delbert and Maggie Carr Back. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Flossie Marie Back. David was an Army Veteran and retired from Marathon Ashland Petroleum as an Electrician. He was a member of the Clarence Fields American Legion Post 76 and the Ceredo/Kenova American Legion Post 93. Surviving him are, his wife of 29 years Sabra Kouns Back of Ashland, two daughters, Michelle Tackett and her husband Mark of Ashland, Nikki Miller of Ashland, one sister, Debbie Evans and her husband Charles of Ashland, two grandchildren, Travis Tackett and Logan Collins. At David’s request there will be no services. Burial will be Ashland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
