Sandra K. Nethercutt

Sandra K. Gauze Nethercutt, 73, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away with her loving family by her side on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Kings Daughters Medical Center. She was born on Wednesday, September 2, 1950, a daughter of the late William and Phyllis Moore Gauze, in Ashland. Sandra was a retired nurse, an amazing mother and mamaw, and enjoyed singing in church, cooking, and shopping on Fingerhut. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a husband, Kermit Nethercutt I; a son, Kermit Nethercutt II, a brother, Cecil Gauze; a sister, Rhonda Deskins; a great-grandson, Blake Nethercutt, and a wonderful mother-in-law, Erma Lee Nethercutt. Sandra is survived by a son, Kevin Ray Nethercutt of Argillite, Kentucky; two daughters, Kimberly Nethercutt of Ashland, Kentucky, and Tamara Nethercutt of Ashland; three brothers, Will Gauze of Barboursville, West Virginia, Jim Gauze of Ashland, Kentucky, and Phillip Gauze of Ashland; two sisters, Debbie Abrams of Ashland, Kentucky, and Phyllis Sparks of Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Brittany Nethercutt, Jeremy Nethercutt, Brandon Watts, Maya France-Miles, Chelsea Nethercutt, Makaris France, Willie Cline, and Spencer Hutchison; nine great-grandchildren, Quinn Nethercutt, Aubrey Layne, Seager and Oaklee Middleton, Walker Beau Pendelton, Asher Loew Miles, Meila Layne, Axl Layne, and Eliza Cline, and a good friend and caregiver, Sue Tackett; and a loving companion, Danny Hutchison of Ashland, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Miller Funeral Home with special honors provided by the Nurse Honor Guard of the River Cities at 7:00 pm. Funeral services for Sandra will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland, Kentucky with Pastor Clell Lucas officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Kirby Flats Cemetery. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.mfhfuneralhome.com.
