Judith Nadine Clevenger

Judith Nadine Clevenger took her final breath on the evening of July 2, 2022. Born December 27, 1952 to the late Alton and Alma Thompson, she was the youngest of six, with one dear sister, Sue Griffith and four brothers William, Wayne, Harry and Tommy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings and one nephew, David Griffith. Judy leaves behind two daughters, Hannah Burton (Cody) of Ashland, KY and Holli Ellis (Grant) of Nashville, TN., also surviving her are her beloved grandchildren, the lights of her life, Trey, Haisley, Harper Burton (Hannah) and Knox Ellis (Holli), her lifelong best friend and coparent Steve Clevenger, two nieces, Teresa Caudill Griffith and Leanne Moore, a nephew Doug Griffith, and a host of other family, friends and her dear pets. Judy was a graduate of Paul Blazer high school. She attended nursing school at Ashland Community College, and began a prominent nursing career at KDMC, spanning over 44 years. She retired in 2018. Judy loved her family and could be found driving her kids to their practices, school functions and church when she was not working. Judy was known for being an excellent nurse who would not cut corners with people’s lives. Judy was a Godly woman who made her life choices by working to please God, she was a member of the Grandview Church of God. Judy enjoyed her role of Mother, sister, aunt, sister in Christ and nurse. She excelled at all of them. It was not until she was 58 that she got to play the role of a lifetime when she was promoted to NanNan. For the last 11 years, Judy has spent most every day loving on her grandchildren, teaching them about Jesus and Googling the many questions that she has been asked. She has become an expert in Mickey Mouse, the Disney channel, dinosaurs, world geography, princesses and Untold Stories of the ER. While there are many attributes about Judy that will be expressed about her extraordinary life and career, one thing that will be echoed is that her love and light leaves a large legacy that will inspire all who knew her. Funeral services for Judy will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 8, 2022 at Miller Funeral Home with Pastor Trey Parsons and Danny Goins officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 7, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Miller Funeral Home and from noon until service time on Friday at the funeral home. The Nurse Honor Guard will provide their services at 12:50 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in Ashland Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at www.mfhfuneralhome.com.
