Anthony E. Robinette

Anthony E. “Tony” Robinette, 56, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021. Tony was born December 30, 1964 to Janet Nicola Justice Robinette and the late Jack E. Robinette of Ashland. Tony was a faithful member of Hyland Heights Baptist church in Catlettsburg. He was a devoted Christian who loved fellowship and serving in all capacities for God. He graduated on May 27 of 1987 as a proud member of the United States Military Academy class of 1987 and company E, 2nd Regiment (Go Dogs). Upon graduation he began active duty as a 2nd Lieutenant at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Tony completed his military career as a well-loved and highly respected Captain in the Army serving as “Deputy Chief of Protocol.” Upon entering the civilian world, Tony began his career with AK Steel as a manager. He then moved on as a financial advisor and broker at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. He continued to advance his career throughout the course of his life working as a Financial Investment Advisor, with his favorite job being with United Brokerage Services. Surviving him, in addition to his mother are his faithful and loving wife of 31 years, Lisa Dawnette Ison Robinette of Ashland, his sister, Kristi Robinette Melek, his nieces and nephews, Sarah Ison Smith (Derek), Lauren Ison (TJ Platt), Rachel Ison Kehr (Johnny) and Emma Ison. Also surviving are a special cousin who was like a sister, Donna Robinette (Bugsy Pauley) of Catlettsburg, special aunts, Rosie Osborne and Doris Vanhoose of Ashland and sweet fur babies Daisy and Tucker and fur babies nephew and niece Tanner and Emma. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Hyland Heights Baptist Church with Pastors Jeff Ferguson and CJ Adkins officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland and from noon until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will follow services in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. Military Rites will be held by Ceredo/Kenova American Legion Post 93.
